Die Cisco Catalyst Serie 3850 bietet eine umfassende Pl attform, die für vollständige Konvergenz zwischen kabelgebundenen und drahtlosen Netzwerken sorgt. Herzstück der Switches bildet die Unified Access Data Plane (UADP) ASIC (Application- specific Integrated Circuit) von Cisco.
Diese innovative anwendungsspezifische integrierte Schaltung ermöglicht eine einheitliche Durchsetzung von Richtlinien für kabelgebundene und drahtlose Ne tzwerke, mehr Transparenz für Anwendungen und eine Optimierung der Anwendungsleistung.
Das optimierte Cisco StackWise- 480 sorgt für die Konvergenz der verschiede nen Infrastrukturen. Die Cisco Catalyst Switches der Serie 3850 bieten vollständige Unterstützung für Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) nach IEEE 802.3at, modul are und vor Ort austauschbare Netzwerkmodule sowie redundante Lüfter und Netzteile.
