Das redundante/externe Netzteil E620 bietet redundante Stromversorgung für das System und/oder zusätzlich 398 Watt PoE-Stromversorgung (Power over Ethernet) für jeden der zwei unterstützten Switches gleichzeitig. Das Netzteil E620 eignet sich ideal für VoIP- (Voice over IP) sowie für viele weitere Umgebungen mit hohen Stromanforderungen. Die Umschaltung von einem ausgefallenen internen Netzteil zum 620 erfolgt nahtlos und unverzüglich. Außerdem bietet das 620 Schutz bei Ausfall einer Hauptstromversorgung, wenn er an eine andere Stromversorgung als der Switch angeschlossen ist. Das 620 unterstützt Switches der HP Serien E3500 und E6200.
