Der HPE Smart Array P431 Controller ist ein kompakter SAS-RAID-Controller mit 12 Gbit/s und PCIe3 x8, der Speicherleistung, mehr externe Skalierbarkeit und Datenschutz der Enterprise-Klasse für ausgewählte HP ProLiant Gen8 Rack- und Tower-Server bereitstellt. Er ist mit acht externen physischen Verbindungen ausgestattet und bietet eine höhere Serververfügbarkeit durch Bereitstellung erweiterter Speicherfunktionen, einschließlich Online-Migration auf RAID-Ebene (zwischen beliebigen RAID-Ebenen) mit Flash-Backed Write Cache (FBWC), globalem Online-Spare und präventiven Warnungen. Dank der Datenkompatibilität zwischen HPE Smart Array-Controllern können Kunden ganz einfach ein Upgrade auf künftige Smart Array-Controller durchführen.
