Die 3500 yl Switch-Serie basiert auf einer Networking ASIC von Hewlett Packard Enterprise und bietet kurze Latenzzeiten mit verbesserter Paketpufferung und ein optionales Modul für 10GbE-Anschlüsse. Sie verfügt über zuverlässige Layer 3-Funktionen mit IPv4 BGP, richtlinienbasiertem Routing und IPv4/IPv6 OSPF, die nahtlos mit der optionalen HPE Intelligent Management Center (IMC) Softwareplattform verwaltet werden können. SDN-fähig (Software-Defined Network) mit OpenFlow-Unterstützung.
