HPE StoreEver LTO Ultrium Bandlaufwerke umfassen sieben Generationen der LTO-Bandlaufwerktechnologie, sie können 15 TB pro Kassette speichern und bieten HPE TapeAssure für Verwaltbarkeit, hardwaregestützte Datenverschlüsselung und HPE StoreOpen mit LTFS für Benutzerfreundlichkeit und herausragende Leistung. Mit HPE TapeAssure können Kunden auf die Sicherheit ihrer Daten vertrauen. Die Software überwacht die Laufwerk- und Mediennutzung, die operative Leistung und die Informationen zu Lebensdauer/Zustand für Laufwerk und Medien. Die hardwaregestützte Verschlüsselung (AES 256 Bit) sorgt für leicht aktivierbare Sicherheit, damit die vertraulichsten Daten geschützt sind und unbefugter Zugriff auf Bandkassetten verhindert wird. Das Linear Tape File System (LTFS) ist ein offenes Format für die Speicherung von Daten auf Band, wodurch die Bänder ab der fünften LTO-Generation selbsterklärend und dateibasiert sind. Die exklusive HPE-Funktion für die Anpassung der Datenrate (Data Rate Matching) unterstützt Datenübertragungsraten von bis zu 300 MB/Sek. (nativ) und optimiert die Leistung durch Anpassung an die Geschwindigkeit des Hostsystems weiter – so wird das Laufwerkstreaming nicht unterbrochen und die Bandleistung erhöht.
