JG336A | Bei der HP 5900 Switch-Serie handelt es sich um eine Familie von ToR-Switches (Top-of-Rack) mit hoher Dichte und äußerst niedriger Latenz, die Teil der HP FlexFabric-Lösung der HP FlexNetwork-Architektur ist. Die HP 5900 Switch-Serie ist perfekt für die Bereitstellung auf der Serverzugriffsebene von Rechenzentren großer Unternehmen geeignet und bietet außerdem eine ausreichende Leistung für die Bereitstellung in der Kernschicht von Rechenzentren mittelständischer Unternehmen. Mit der Zunahme von virtualisierten Anwendungen und des Server-zu-Server-Datenverkehrs benötigen Kunden jetzt Innovationen bei ToR-Switches, die ihre Anforderungen an Serverkonnektivität mit höherer Leistung, Konvergenz von Ethernet- und Speicherdatenverkehr, Handhabbarkeit virtueller Umgebungen und äußerst niedriger Latenz in einem einzigen Gerät erfüllen.

Quality of Service (QoS)

• Leistungsstarke QoS-Funktionen: Flexible Klassifizierung: bildet Datenverkehrsklassen auf der Grundlage von Zugriffssteuerungslisten (ACLs), der IEEE-802.1p­Präzedenz sowie der IP- und DSCP- oder ToS­Präzedenz (Type of Service); unterstützt Filterung, Umleitung, Spiegelung, Anmerkung und Protokollierung. Unterstützte Funktionen: bietet Unterstützung für Strict Priority Queuing (SP), Weighted Fair Queuing (WFQ), Weighted Deficit Round Robin (WDRR), SP und WDRR in Kombination, konfigurierbare Puffer, Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN) und Weighted Random Early Detection (WRED).


Für Rechenzentren optimiert

• Flexible hohe Anschlussdichte: die HP 5900 Switch-Serie bietet eine 1RU-Lösung mit 48 Anschlüssen und hoher Dichte und ermöglicht es, die Serverperipherie mit 1-GbE- und 10-GbE-ToR-Implementierungen in einem bisher ungeahnten Maß zu erweitern; die hohe Serveranschlussdichte wird durch 40-GbE-QSFP+-Uplinks abgesichert, um die Verfügbarkeit der notwendigen Bandbreite für anspruchsvolle Anwendungen sicherzustellen; jeder 40-GbE-QSFP+-Anschluss kann mithilfe eines 40-GbE-zu-10-GbE-Splitterkabels auch als Konfiguration mit vier 10-GbE-Anschlüssen eingerichtet werden.

Ausfallsicherheit und Hochverfügbarkeit

• HP IRF-Technologie (Intelligent Resilient Framework): ermöglicht die Bereitstellung von fehlertoleranten, skalierbaren und abgesicherten Rechenzentrumsnetzwerken für physische und virtualisierte Umgebungen durch HP FlexFabric; gruppiert bis zu neun HP 5900 Switches in einer IRF-Konfiguration, sodass sie wie ein einzelner Switch mit einer einzigen IP-Adresse konfiguriert und verwaltet werden können; vereinfacht die ToR-Implementierung und -Verwaltung, wodurch sich die Implementierungs- und Betriebskosten für Rechenzentren reduzieren


Layer-2-Switching

• MAC-basiertes VLAN: ermöglicht eine fein abgestufte Kontrolle und Sicherheit; nutzt RADIUS für die Zuordnung von MAC-Adressen/Benutzern zu bestimmten VLANs


Layer-3-Dienste

• Address Resolution Protocol (ARP): bestimmt die MAC-Adresse eines anderen IP-Hosts im selben Subnetz; unterstützt statische ARPs; Gratuitous ARP ermöglicht die Erkennung doppelter IP-Adressen; Proxy ARP ermöglicht den normalen ARP-Betrieb zwischen Subnetzen oder wenn Subnetze durch ein Layer-2-Netzwerk getrennt sind
