Er ist für hohe Leistung mit 205-W-CPUs, NVMe-Laufwerken mit geringer Latenz und mit Hochleistungs-GPUs ausgestattet.

Mit der traditionellen Zuverlässigkeit von Lenovo ist der sehr flexible und konfigurierbare SR650 die ideale Plattform für hyperkonvergente Infrastruktur (HCI) oder Software-definierten Storage (SDS). Er bietet eine solide Grundlage für: 1) Die Umwandlung von Ressourcen in Services unter Verwendung von validierten Designs für Hybrid Cloud. 2) Die Durchführung von Analysen von Streamingdaten unter Verwendung von validierten Designs für Big Data, und 3) die Steigerung der Produktivität von virtualisierten Transaktionssystemen mithilfe von validierten Designs für OLTP-Datenbanken.

Vielseitig und skalierbar
Das ThinkSystem SR650 umfasst bis zu zwei leistungsstarke CPUs der Scalable Familie mit Intel® Xeon® Prozessoren mit 27 Prozent mehr Kernen und der doppelten Arbeitsspeicherkapazität als die vorherige Servergeneration*. Er unterstützt zwei 300-W-Hochleistungs-GPUs und ML2 NIC-Adapter mit geteilter Verwaltung. Die einzigartige Lenovo AnyBay Technologie bietet die Flexibilität für das Mischen von SAS/SATA HDDs/SSDs und NVMe SSDs in denselben Schächten. Vier direkt verbundene NVMe-Ports auf dem Motherboard bieten ultra-schnelle Lese-/Schreibvorgänge mit NVMe-Laufwerken und reduzieren die Kosten durch die Vermeidung von PCIe-Switch-Adaptern. Außerdem kann der Speicher als kostengünstigste Lösung für höhere Anwendungsleistung abgestuft werden. Optionale gespiegelte M.2-Laufwerke gewährleisten Zuverlässigkeit und eine schnelle Betriebssysteminitialisierung. Das SR650 verfügt auch über 80 PLUS Platinum und Titanium PSUs sowie einen Dauerbetrieb bei 45 °C, um die Energiekosten zu senken.

Einfache Verwaltung
Lenovo XClarity Controller ist eine vollständig neue in die Hardware eingebettete Management-Engine, die in allen ThinkSystem Servern Verwendung findet. Der XClarity Controller verfügt über eine übersichtliche grafische Benutzeroberfläche, RedFish-konforme REST-APIs auf Industriestandard und ermöglicht das Booten in der Hälfte der Zeit der Server der vorherigen Generation, mit bis zu 6x schnelleren Firmware-Updates.

Lenovo XClarity Administrator ist eine virtualisierte Anwendung, die ThinkSystem Server, Storage und Vernetzung zentral verwaltet. Mithilfe von wiederverwendbaren Mustern und Richtlinien beschleunigt und skaliert er die Infrastruktur-Bereitstellung und -Wartung. Er fungiert als zentraler Integrationspunkt und erweitert Ihre Verwaltungsprozesse des Rechenzentrums auf die physische IT. Mit XClarity Integrators in externen IT-Anwendungen und der Integration über REST-APIs wird die Bereitstellung von Services weiter beschleunigt, die IT-Verwaltung optimiert und Kosten eingedämmt.
