Für komplexere Installationen verfügt der DAP-2230 über integriertes Power over Ethernet (PoE), sodass das Gerät auch in Bereichen installiert werden kann, in denen keine Steckdosen zur Verfügung stehen.

Der DAP-2230 besitzt eine Zeitschaltfunktion, die das WLAN abschaltet, wenn es nicht benötigt wird, und so Energie spart.
