Quality control and improvement of packaging at IT-Planet

Products on IT-Planet are always subject to strict quality control. We are constantly improving our packaging methods, but if unfortunately damage does occur, we are very sorry. In this case, please contact our customer service and describe your problem in detail. We will do our best to solve your problem quickly and without complications. In addition to the statutory warranty, we as the guarantor grant you a warranty on all items purchased from us in accordance with the following provisions. Your statutory rights are not restricted by this.

Warranty conditions

The warranty period for all new items is two years from the date of purchase. All refurbished items have an extended warranty of three years from the date of purchase. The date of purchase is determined by the date on which the purchase contract was bindingly concluded. The warranty is valid on the territory of the European Union and Switzerland and is exclusively addressed to consumers. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that can predominantly be attributed neither to his commercial nor to his independent professional activity. In the case of entrepreneurs, the warranty is based on the warranty period stipulated in the purchase contract. An entrepreneur is a natural or legal person or a partnership with legal capacity who, when concluding a legal transaction, acts in the exercise of his commercial or independent professional activity.

a) During the warranty period, devices that show defects due to material and manufacturing faults will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. Replaced devices or parts of devices become our property. The warranty services do not cause an extension of the warranty period, nor do they initiate a new warranty.

b) Warranty claims must be made immediately after becoming aware of the defect within the warranty period.

Warranty claims are excluded in the event of damage caused by:

  • Misuse or improper handling
  • Environmental influences (humidity, heat, overvoltage, dust, etc.)
  • Non-observance of the safety precautions applicable to the unit
  • Non-observance of the operating instructions
  • Use of force (e.g. impact, shock, falling)
  • Interventions not carried out by the service address authorised by us
  • Unauthorised repair attempts
  • Sending in packaging that is not safe for transport

c) The following steps are required to claim under the guarantee: Please contact our customer service by e-mail or telephone using the contact details given below. If the defect is within the scope of our warranty service, you will receive a repaired or new unit back. The return shipping costs will be borne by us in the case of a warranty claim.

d) Defects or damage to the device that are not (or no longer) covered by the scope of the guarantee will be repaired by us against reimbursement of costs. For an individual offer, please contact our customer service. In this case, the shipping costs will be borne by you.

e) Software and licences are excluded from the warranty.
