Safety instructions for refurbished products
Responsibly refurbished – tested, safe and sustainable
Our refurbished and factory renewed products are carefully inspected, cleaned, and technically reconditioned by us or certified manufacturers.
The goal is to offer you a sustainable, reliable, and safe alternative to new goods – with full functionality and high quality.
All devices undergo a technical functional and safety inspection before resale.
Only products that meet the applicable safety standards are offered for sale.
General safety instructions
Please observe the following points when handling electrical and electronic equipment to ensure safe operation:
- Use the device only in accordance with the technical specifications and solely for its intended purpose.
- Connect devices only to suitable power sources and observe the information on the rating plate.
- Do not open the device yourself. Repairs and maintenance may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
- Protect the product from moisture, heat, direct sunlight, and dust.
- Ensure sufficient air circulation – especially for devices with ventilation slots (e.g., switches, routers, UPSs).
- Unplug the power cord before installing, cleaning, or changing cabling.
- Use only original accessories or manufacturer-approved components, especially for power supplies and batteries.
Batteries & rechargeable batteries
Some devices contain batteries or rechargeable batteries. Please note:
- Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
- Used batteries can be returned free of charge to municipal collection points or returned to us.
- Look for the symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin, which indicates separate collection.
Disposal & recycling
Refurbished products actively contribute to resource conservation.
If you wish to dispose of a device, please note:
- Electronic devices must not be disposed of with household waste.
- Take end-of-life devices to the municipal collection points or send them back for proper disposal.

Warranty & product safety
- All our refurbished products are inspected, tested, and fully functional.
- The CE marking remains valid and confirms compliance with European safety standards.
- For devices labeled „Factory Renewed by Schneider Electric“ or by other manufacturers, refurbishment is carried out directly by the manufacturer and includes a manufacturer's warranty.
- If a device has visible warning labels or stickers, they must not be removed or covered.

Many refurbished products are delivered without printed manuals.
