Die HP Multifunktions-Netzwerkadapter (Converged Network Adapter, CNA) besitzen jeweils zwei Anschlüsse, mit denen Ethernet-, iSCSI- und Fibre Channel-Verbindungen (FC) per 10 GbE realisiert werden, und zwar sowohl nach den FCoE-Standards (Fibre Channel over Ethernet) als auch nach den CEE-Standards (Converged Enhanced Ethernet). Durch die Zusammenführung von Ethernet, iSCSI und Fibre Channel auf einem Multifunktionsadapter vermindern die HP CNAs die Gesamtanzahl der Adapter und Kabel für das Rechenzentrum. Auch die Betriebs-, Strom- und Kühlungskosten werden gesenkt, während die vorhandene Ethernet- und Fibre Channel-Infrastruktur beibehalten wird. Die HP CNAs wurden außerdem gründlich mit HP ProLiant-Servern und HP Top of Rack (ToR) Switches getestet, sodass die optimale HP FCoE-Lösung für Ihr Rechenzentrum gewährleistet werden kann.

Multifunktions-Infrastruktur
\n Vereint die Funktionen einer Netzwerkkarte (Ethernet/iSCSI) und eines Fibre-Channel-Hostbusadapters (FC-HBA) in einem einzigen Multifunktionsadapter. Damit sind weniger Adapter und Kabel erforderlich und die Anschaffungs- und Betriebskosten sinken.

\nZuverlässigkeit
\n Senden Fibre Channel-Datenpakete über FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet) mithilfe von CEE-Funktionen (Converged Enhanced Ethernet) und gewährleisten so eine hohe Datenintegrität und verlustfreies Ethernet.

\nErmöglichen HP ProLiant Verbindungen zu Speicher und Netzwerken
\n Bietet eine HP Multifunktions-Netzwerkadapter-Lösung, für die umfangreiche HP Interoperabilitätstests im Hinblick auf die Verbindung von HP ProLiant-Servern mit Speicher- und Netzwerkumgebungen durchgeführt wurden.
