In einigen HP Access Points stehen außerdem integrierte RF-Sicherheitsmelder zur Verfügung. Alle HP MSM-Access Points und integrierten RF-Sicherheitsmelder der E Serie werden über einen beliebigen HP MSM-Controller der E Serie und den HP RF Manager für RF-Sicherheitsmelder verwaltet. Alle HP Access Points der E Serie können auch im eigenständigen Modus betrieben werden. Für die HP MSM-Access Points der E Serie ist eine einzige PoE-Kabelverbindung (Power over Ethernet) erforderlich, sie sind IEEE802.3af-konform und können direkt oder über ein Netzteil mit Strom versorgt werden. HP bietet eine umfassende Palette an Accesss Points der E Serie für den Einsatz im Innen- und Außenbereich.
