Das redundante und externe Netzteil ProCurve 630 bietet redundante Stromversorgung für das System und/oder zusätzlich 398 W PoE- (Power over Ethernet) und PoE+-Stromversorgung (Power over Ethernet Plus) für einen Switch. Das Netzteil 630 eignet sich ideal für VoIP- (Voice over IP) sowie für viele weitere Umgebungen mit hohen Stromanforderungen. Die Umschaltung von einem ausgefallenen internen Netzteil zum Netzteil 630 erfolgt nahtlos und unverzüglich. Außerdem bietet das Netzteil 630 Schutz bei Ausfall einer Hauptstromversorgung, wenn es an eine andere Stromversorgung als der Switch angeschlossen ist. Das Netzteil 630 unterstützt die HP Switches der Serien ProCurve 2910al und 3500yl-PoE+.
