WLC800R |

Der WLAN-Controller WLC800 überträgt die Skalierbarkeit, Handhabbarkeit, Zuverlässigkeit und Ausfallsicherheit von kabelgebundenen Netzwerken auf Wireless-Netzwerke. Er unterstützt Access Points mit drei Streams in 802.11n-Installationen. Er ermöglicht ferner die nahtlose, sichere und unterbrechungsfreie Bereitstellung von Unternehmens-WLANs über vorhandene L2/L3-Netzwerke.
Der WLC800 unterstützt anspruchsvolle Wireless-Anwendungen im Innen- und Außenbereich für Tausende von Benutzern, darunter Voice-over-WLAN. Er gewährleistet ferner ständige Verfügbarkeit und störungsfreie Ausfallsicherung ohne Service-Unterbrechung - sogar im Fall eines Controller-Ausfalls. Der WLC800 überträgt die Durchsetzung von Richtlinien und die Datenweiterleitung an die Access Points und optimiert so den Datenverkehr, vermindert Verzögerungen und erhöht die Skalierbarkeit.
Die Controller können als virtueller Controller-Cluster konfiguriert werden, der Mehrfachredundanz ohne eine kostspielige Hot-Standby-Konfiguration ermöglicht. Cluster von WLC800-WLAN-Controllern bilden eine Mobility-Domäne, in der nahtloses Roaming, Intrusion Protection und Funkmanagement in großen Wireless LAN-Installationen an einem einzigen Standort möglich sind. Mobility-Domänen können durch eine Netzwerkdomäne miteinander verbunden werden, um verschiedene Standorte und geografisch weitläufige Regionen sicher und nahtlos mit Mobility-Anwendungen und intelligenten Mobildiensten zu versorgen.
