Sophos XGS 1U Firewalls are specifically designed for medium-sized businesses, growing IT infrastructures and distributed enterprise locations. These rackmount security appliances combine high performance with flexible connectivity options and comprehensive security features. They are particularly suitable for businesses looking to securely connect multiple locations, provide remote employees with protected network access or expand their existing network infrastructure.

For reliable performance, the Sophos XGS 1U Series features a powerful dual-processor architecture. A high-speed CPU and a dedicated Xstream Flow Processor enable hardware acceleration of network traffic and support demanding security functions without unnecessarily affecting network performance. The firewalls also provide the performance and flexibility required for SD-WAN environments, helping businesses efficiently secure distributed networks.

In terms of connectivity, Sophos XGS 1U appliances offer integrated copper and fibre interfaces as well as additional expansion options. All models feature LAN bypass ports and at least one modular Flexi Port expansion slot. This allows businesses to adapt their connectivity options to different network requirements and expand them when needed.

For increased reliability, all models support an optional second power supply. An optional PoE Flexi Port module with a central power supply is also available, enabling redundant power delivery to connected PoE devices. The required rackmount kit is included in the package, making integration into existing server racks easier.
