Switched Rack PDUs messen die Leistungsaufnahme der Last in Verbindung mit kontrolliertem Ein-/Ausschalten einzelner Ausgänge für den Neustart von Systemen aus der Ferne. Darüber hinaus bieten die Systeme verzögertes Einschalten von Systemen sowie Nutzungsverwaltung für Ausgänge.\n\nSteuerung der Stromversorgung rack-basierter IT-Geräte\nAPC Switched Rack PDUs (schaltbare Rack-Stromverteiler) bieten IT-Managern die Möglichkeit, die Stromversorgung von Rack-Geräten zu steuern. Alle Steckdosen können separat per Fernsteuerung ein- bzw. ausgeschaltet werden, wodurch abgestürzte Geräte neu gestartet und die unbefugte Verwendung einzelner Steckdosen verhindert werden können. Mithilfe von Einschalt- bzw. Ausschalt-Verzögerungen können Benutzer die Reihenfolge festlegen, in der angeschlossene Geräte ein- bzw. ausgeschaltet werden. Durch Priorisierung des Lastabwurfs können Überlastungen der Stromkreise während der Rückkehr der Netzstromversorgung vermieden und Ausfallzeiten wichtiger Geräte verkürzt werden. Ein Amperemeter ermöglicht die Echtzeit-Fernüberwachung angeschlossener Lasten. Benutzerdefinierte Alarme warnen vor potenziellen Stromkreisüberlastungen, bevor wichtige IT-Geräte ausfallen. Die Konfiguration und Verwaltung der Switched Rack-PDUs erfolgt über eine sichere Webverbindung bzw. SNMP- oder Telnet-Schnittstelle. Als ergänzende Verwaltungslösungen stehen APC-Plattformen für das zentrale Management wie InfraStruXure Manager, InfraStruXure Central, Capacity Manager und Change Manager zur Verfügung.
