CyberPower PDU41005 versorgt mehrere angeschlossene Geräte in IT-Umgebungen von einer USV-Einheit, einem Generator oder einem Versorgungsnetz mit Strom. Das Gerät unterstützt die Remote-Steuerung einzelner Steckdosen über das Netzwerk, sodass Administratoren angeschlossene Geräte von jedem Standort aus ein- und ausschalten. Die Daisy Chain-Funktion ermöglicht es auch, mehrere miteinander verbundene PDUs über einer IP-Adresse zu überwachen und zu steuern. Das LCD-Display ist drehbar, zur einfachen Überwachung farblich konfigurierbar und im Falle eins Defektes Hot-Swap-fähig. Es lassen sich die Farben des LCD anpassen, um Geräte auf einfache Weise zwischen mehreren Computern im Serverraum und in IT-Umgebungen zu kategorisieren. Das Gerät ist mit einem Ethernet-Modul ausgestattet, über das die PowerPanel Power Management-Software und die Power Management-Webschnittstelle für die Fernüberwachung und -konfiguration in Echtzeit kommuniziert. Mithilfe der Ereignisprotokollierung über Webbrowser oder Netzwerkverbindung können Anwender den Verlauf der Stromzustände überprüfen. Wenn bestimmte Stromversorgungsereignisse auftreten, können automatische Ereignisbenachrichtigungen per E-Mail, SMS oder SNMP-Trap an bestimmte Benutzer gesendet werden. Somit können diese sofort Maßnahmen ergreifen. Der USB-Anschluss unterstützt ein einfaches Firmware-Upgrade. Darüber hinaus ermöglicht der RJ45-Anschluss den Anschluss des optionalen Umgebungssensors (ENVIROSENSOR), der eine Echtzeitüberwachung von Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit ermöglicht.
