Ebenso können auch andere Ethernet-Geräte wie Computer, Drucker und Netzwerkspeicher (Network Attached Storage,N AS) am DES-1018P angeschlossen werden, sodass er sich für jede Netzwerkanwendung eignet.\n\nPower-over-Ethernet gemäß IEEE 802.3af\nDer DES-1018P verfügt über acht Anschlüsse, welche das Power-over-Ethernet-Protokoll IEEE 802.3af unterstützen. Jeder der PoE-Anschlüsse kann bei einem PoE-Gesamtbudget von 80 Watt eine Leistung von bis zu 15,4 Watt bereitstellen, sodass Anwender IEEE \n\n802.3afkonforme\nGeräte ohne zusätzliche Stromversorgung mit dem DES-1018P verbinden können.
