Die zwei integrierten 5Gbit/s HDMI Stacking Ports ermöglichen es, bis zu sechs Switches zu einem bidirektionalen Ring Stack mit einer Bandbreite von 20Gbit/s zu verbinden.\n\nBandbreitenmanagement\nDer DGS-3100-48 bietet die Möglichkeit für 802.1Q VLANs und Guest VLANs. Virtuelle Netzwerksegmente können so aufgebaut werden, dass eine Segmentierung zur Netzwerksicherung, zum Bandbreitenmanagement und zur Einschränkung der Broadcast-Domänen ermöglicht wird. Für jeden Port lässt sich der anteilige Datendurchsatz - in 64 Kbit/s Schritten - definieren. Quality-of-Service (QoS) sichert die optimale Qualität bei konvergenten und zeitkritischen Applikationen. Für Multicast-Anwendungen ist der Switch mit einem IGMP Befehlssatz ausgestattet, der es erlaubt, die Bandbreite ökonomisch und sparsam zu verteilen.
