Das 4 Gbit Fibre Channel Pass-Thru-Modul für HP BladeSystem c-Class ist für Kunden konzipiert, die eine direkte Verbindung zwischen den einzelnen Server-Blades im Gehäuse und den externen Fibre Channel SAN-Switches, -Directors oder -Controllern benötigen. Als idealer Investitionsschutz für Rechenzentren mit vorhandener Speichernetzwerkinfrastruktur hat das HP Fibre Channel Pass-Thru-Modul bis zu sechzehn 4 Gb E/A-Glasfaserverbindungen mit einem festgeschalteten, nicht blockierenden 1:1-Pfad zwischen dem Server-Blade und dem SAN. Das modulare Design ist Hot-Plug-fähig und lässt sich mühelos in die E/A-Einschübe des c-Class Gehäuses einbauen. Die Installation von zwei Fibre Channel Pass-Thru-Modulen sorgt für redundante Verbindungspfade zum SAN.
