Der SB40c Storage Blade bietet direkt verbundenen und gemeinsam genutzten Speicher für c-Class Gehäuse mit Unterstützung für bis zu sechs Hot-Plug-fähige, SFF SAS- oder SATA-Festplattenlaufwerke. Die Gehäuserückseite verfügt über eine PCI-Express-Verbindung zum benachbarten c-Class Server-Blade und sorgt so für einen leistungsfähigen Speicherzugriff ohne zusätzliche Kabel. Der SB40c Storage Blade verfügt über einen integrierten Smart Array P400 Controller mit 256 MB BBWC für höhere Leistung und besseren Datenschutz. Mithilfe der HP LeftHand P4000 Virtual SAN Appliance (VSA) Software lässt sich der SB40c in ein iSCSI-SAN innerhalb des BladeSystem-Gehäuses umwandeln. Die P4000 VSA stellt ein skalierbares iSCSI-SAN basierend auf einer Cluster-Speicherarchitektur bereit und umfasst Remote-Replikationsfunktionen, Thin Provisioning und Snapshots. Erweitern Sie die Kapazität im selben Gehäuse oder mit zusätzlichen Gehäusen.
