Das Modul NC524SFP, das exklusiv für die DL370 G6 und ML370 G6 ProLiant-Server verfügbar ist, ermöglicht das Upgrade von zwei der integrierten 1GbE-Anschlüsse auf 10GbE-Anschlüsse. In jedem System wird nur ein NC524SFP unterstützt. Dieses Modul mit zwei Ports unterstützt SFP+ (Small Form-factor Pluggable) Anschlüsse, benötigt werden entweder ein Direktanschlusskabel (DAC) für Kupfernetzwerke oder Glasfaser-Transceiver, die SR-, LR- oder LRM-Optik plus Glasfaserkabel für faseroptische Umgebungen unterstützen. Der NC524SFP verfügt über die erweiterten Serverfunktionen, die ProLiant-Kunden erwarten. Dazu gehören TCP Checksum und Segmentierung, LSO-Funktionalität (Large Send Offload), VLAN-Tagging, Jumbo Frames, IPv6 und mehr.
Die beiden Anschlüsse auf dem NC524SFP bieten einen theoretischen maximalen Vollduplex-Durchsatz von 40 Gbit/s (bidirektional).
