Einstiegs- und Midline-SATA-Festplatten wurden als wirtschaftliche Lösung für Zuverlässigkeit und Leistung für nicht geschäftskritische Anwendungen konzipiert und bieten das beste Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für Umgebungen mit geringeren Workloads. Diese Festplatten sind verfügbar in den Formfaktoren SFF (2,5 Zoll) und LFF (3,5 Zoll), sowohl für Hot-Plug-fähige als auch nicht Hot-Plug-fähige Umgebungen.
