Die meisten Drittanbieter von Speicherkomponenten bieten diese Tests einfach nicht an bzw. sind nicht in der Lage, Tests auf Plattformebene durchzuführen. HP SmartMemory wird nur von Tier 1 DRAM-Anbietern bezogen\nSmartMemory stellt über den System-ROM erweiterte Speicherleistungsfunktionen bereit.\nIn Verbindung mit Systems Insight Manager (SIM) ermöglicht SmartMemory Fehlerprognosen.
