Der NC523SFP ist eine 8-Wege (x8) PCI Express (PCIe) 10 Gigabit-Netzwerklösung, die eine große Bandbreite in einem ProLiant Ethernet-Adapter bereitstellt. Dieser PCI Express Gen 2-Adapter mit zwei Anschlüssen unterstützt SFP+ (Small Form-factor Pluggable) Anschlüsse; benötigt werden entweder ein Direktanschlusskabel (DAC) für Kupfernetzwerke oder Glasfaser-Transceiver für faseroptische Umgebungen. Bei Auslieferung verfügt der NC523SFP über die erweiterten Serverfunktionen, die ProLiant-Kunden erwrarten können. Beispiele sind TCP Checksum und Segmentation Offload (LSO), VLAN-Tagging, Jumbo Frames, IPv6 und mehr. Der NC523SFP kann einfach bestellt und installiert werden und ist für Standard- und Low-Profile-Steckplätze geeignet.
