Das SATA-Portfolio lässt sich in zwei Kategorien unterteilen: Einstiegs- (ETY) und Midline-Laufwerke (MDL) HP SATA-Laufwerke der Einstiegsklasse sind die kostengünstigste Lösung für Server der Einstiegsklasse. HP SATA-Midline-Laufwerke wurden unter Berücksichtigung wirtschaftlicher Zuverlässigkeit und Leistung für externe Speicher-, Sicherungs- und Archivierungsanwendungen konzipiert. Diese Laufwerke mit hoher Kapazität bieten unseren Kunden das beste Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sowohl Einstiegs- als auch Midline-SATA-Laufwerke bieten unübertroffene Preisvorteile für nicht geschäftskritische Anwendungen bei einer Arbeitslast von maximal 40 %. HP SATA-Laufwerke sind als SFF- (Small Form Factor, 2,5 Zoll) und LFF-Laufwerke (Large Form Factor, 3,5 Zoll) verfügbar und werden mit einer Standardgarantie von 1 Jahr ausgeliefert.

- SATA-Laufwerke der Einstiegsklasse sind zu den niedrigsten Anschaffungskosten erhältlich und umfassen u. a. die folgenden Features:
- Ca. zweifach höhere Zuverlässigkeit des Laufwerks der Einstiegsklasse basierend auf einer Arbeitslast von maximal 40 %
- Midline SATA-Festplatten stellen Kunden das beste Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und mehr Features in Form einer SATA-Festplatte der Einstiegsklasse zur Verfügung.
- Aufgrund der attraktiv niedrigen Anschaffungskosten und hohen Kapazität ist es wichtig, die passenden Anwendungen für SATA-Festplatten zu kennen. Der ordnungsgemäße Einsatz (Arbeitslast maximal 40 %) der Laufwerke senkt das Risiko von Laufwerksausfällen.
