Der HP ProLiant BL460c Gen8 ist ein Server-Blade mit 2 Sockets, der für hohe Leistung, mehr Flexibilität und vereinfachtes Management ausgelegt ist und damit neue Maßstäbe bei der Datenverarbeitung im Rechenzentrum setzt. Er bietet noch bessere Leistungsmerkmale: um 33 % größerer DIMM-Speicher, Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v2-Prozessoren, schnellere E/A-Steckplätze und erweiterter Smart Array Controller, der nun standardmäßig mit Flash Back Write Cache mit 512 MB ausgeliefert wird. Außerdem kann auch der HP FlexibleLOM-Steckplatz flexibler eingesetzt werden. Mit FlexibleLOM lassen sich Servernetzwerke anpassen und auf künftige Anforderungen abstimmen, ohne dass Server-Hardware modernisiert werden muss.
