Der HP H244br Smart-Hostbusadapter wird in einem flexiblen Smart-SAS-HBA-Formfaktor geliefert, der zuverlässige, leistungsstarke SAS-Verbindungen zu den Daten in den internen Serverlaufwerken bereitstellt. Der Adapter wird auf HP ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Servern unterstützt und bietet zwei interne physische Verbindungen sowie 12 Gbit/s SAS-Leistung. Der H244br Smart-Hostbusadapter kann flexibel im HBA-Modus oder im einfachen RAID-Modus ausgeführt werden. Beim Betrieb im einfachen RAID-Modus stellt der Adapter RAID 0, RAID 1 und RAID 5 mit optionalen HP Secure Encryption Funktionen bereit. Im Gegensatz zu den HP Smart Array Controllern bietet der H244br keine Beschleunigung und unterstützt keine Cache-Module.
