Das HP StorageWorks 2000sa Modular Smart Array (MSA2000sa) ist eine direkt angeschlossene Speicherlösung mit einem externen gemeinsamen Speicher, mit der Kunden problemlos von einem direkt angeschlossenen auf einen zentralen Speicher umstellen können. Die Lösung eignet sich hervorragend für Kunden, die ihren Speicher konsolidieren müssen, wie z. B. kleinere Unternehmen mit knappen Budgets und begrenztem IT-Fachwissen oder größere Unternehmen mit Hunderten von kleineren Abteilungen oder entfernten Standorten. Jedes MSA2000sa Modell ist standardmäßig mit zwölf Laufwerkseinschüben versehen, die gleichzeitig Platz für 3,5 Zoll SAS-Laufwerke mit zwei Ports der Enterprise-Klasse und SATA-Laufwerke der Archivklasse bieten. Bei Bedarf kann mit bis zu drei MSA2000 Laufwerksgehäusen mit 12 Einschüben einfach zusätzliche Kapazität hinzugefügt werden. Die maximale unkomprimierte Kapazität reicht von 5,4 TB SAS oder 12 TB SATA im Basisschrank bis zu 21,6 TB SAS oder 48 TB SATA mit den drei zusätzlichen Laufwerksgehäusen. Die MSA2000 Array-Produktfamilie überzeugt durch Kosteneffizienz, da nie zusätzliche verdeckte Kosten, Lizenzen oder Gebühren anfallen, wenn Sie Gehäuse, Hosts und Benutzer hinzufügen.
