Die HP Racks der Intelligent-Serie mit optionalen Location Discovery Services senden die Rack-ID und den genauen U-Standort an die Server. Damit erhalten die iLO, HP OneView und Insight Control Software wichtige Informationen zum Standort zusammen mit Angaben zum Stromverbrauch und zur Temperatur, sodass Sie Workloads effizienter zuordnen können. Manuelle, fehleranfällige Vorgänge bei der Ressourcenverwaltung werden vermieden, da die Server die Identifizierung und Bestandsverwaltung eigenständig durchführen. HP Power Discovery Services sind ebenfalls erhältlich. Mit einer HP Intelligent PDU und HP Platinum Plus-Netzteilen mit gemeinsamem Steckplatz (94 % Wirkungsgrad) tragen die HP Power Discovery Services dazu bei, die Anzahl an Konfigurationsfehlern zu verringern und den Stromverbrauch pro Rack und Server präzise nachvollziehen zu können, sodass der Stromverbrauch nicht mehr manuell aufgezeichnet werden muss. Einige Modelle oder die HP Racks der Intelligent-Serie sind nun in klassischem HP Schwarz oder in Hellgrau (neu) erhältlich.
