Alle HP MSM-Access Points und integrierten RF-Sicherheitsmelder werden über einen beliebigen HP MSM-Controller und den HP RF Manager für RF-Sicherheitsmelder verwaltet. Alle HP MSM-Access Points können auch im eigenständigen Modus betrieben werden. Für die HP MSM-Access Points ist eine einzige PoE-Kabelverbindung (Power over Ethernet) erforderlich, sie sind IEEE802.3af-konform oder können direkt über ein Netzteil mit Strom versorgt werden.
