HP IntelliJack Gigabit Switches sind kompakte 10/100/1000-Switches, die an eine standardmäßige Wandsteckdose angeschlossen werden und dadurch schnell über eine vorhandene LAN-Wandsteckdose mit einem Anschluss vier Gigabit Ethernet-Anschlüsse mit Switches bereitstellen. Diese Netzwerksteckdosen sind eine einfache Lösung zum Hinzufügen von Netzwerkanschlüssen ohne weitere Verkabelung. Im Unterschied zu herkömmlichen Desktop-Switches werden HP IntelliJacks an der Wand angebracht, und dadurch sind sie besser vor Diebstahl, versehentlichem Trennen der Verbindung oder Beschädigungen geschützt. Die innovativen HP IntelliJack Switches haben vier Ethernet-Anschlüsse für lokale Verbindungen und einen Uplinkanschluss. Zwei zusätzliche RJ-45 Pass-Through-Anschlüsse lassen sich flexibel für zahlreiche zusätzliche Service- und Benutzerkonnektivitätsoptionen verwenden. Der HP IntelliJack Switch kann lokal oder über Power over Ethernet (PoE) mit Strom versorgt werden und Standard-PoE auf bis zu zwei Anschlüssen an direkt angeschlossene Einheiten wie IP-Telefone oder Wireless Access Points ausgeben.
