Bei der HP E4210G Switch-Serie handelt es sich um Gigabit Ethernet LAN-Switches auf Einstiegsniveau mit einem auf Großunternehmen zugeschnittenen Maß an Dienstgüte (QoS), Sicherheit und Verwaltungsfunktionen sowie einem hohen Nutzenpotenzial für Netzwerkadministratoren, die an wirtschaftlichen Edge-Switching-Geräten interessiert sind. Die erhältlichen Modelle mit Power over Ethernet (PoE) eignen sich ideal für Voice-over-IP-Anwendungen und Wireless-Netzwerke, während Modelle ohne PoE für die einfache Porterweiterung verfügbar sind. Die Dual-Personality-Anschlüsse sorgen für Flexibilität und lassen sich um 10 Gigabit-Ethernet-Funktionalität erweitern.
