Die nächste Generation der HP MSA 2040 Speicher-Arrays setzt neue Maßstäbe, erfüllt die Anforderungen der HP ProLiant Kunden an gemeinsam genutzten Speicher und Datenschutz, reduziert die Betriebskosten und sorgt durch Technologien wie Solid-State-Laufwerke, Snapshots, Volume Copy, Replikation und selbstverschlüsselnde Laufwerke für eine erhebliche Leistungssteigerung. Die MSA 2040 Speicher-Arrays bieten hervorragende Funktionalität für Kunden, die mehr Leistung für die Unterstützung von Initiativen wie Konsolidierung und Virtualisierung benötigen. Das MSA 2040 bietet diese Leistung durch die Nutzung einer neuen Controller-Architektur mit einem neuen Prozessor sowie durch die Verwendung von vier Anschlüssen mit 4 GB Cache pro Controller und Technologien wie SSDs. Der MSA 2040 Speicher wird standardmäßig mit 64 Snapshots und Volume Copy geliefert, was den Datenschutz verbessert und eine Replizierung mit optionaler Remote Snap-Software zwischen Arrays (nur FC oder iSCSI) ermöglicht.
