Das D2220sb Storage-Blade bietet direkt angeschlossenen Speicher für c-Class-Gen8-Blade-Server und unterstützt bis zu zwölf SFF-SAS-Festplattenlaufwerke oder SAS/SATA-SSDs oder Midline-Festplattenlaufwerke (SATA). Die Rückseite des Gehäuses verfügt über eine PCI-Express-Verbindung zum benachbarten c-Class-Server-Blade und sorgt so für einen leistungsfähigen Speicherzugriff ohne zusätzliche Kabel. Das D2220sb verfügt über einen integrierten Smart Array P420i Controller mit 1 GB Flash-Backed Write Cache für höhere Leistung und besseren Datenschutz. Bis zu acht D2220sb Speichergeräte können von einem einzigen BladeSystem c7000 Gehäuse aus für eine Kapazität von bis zu 115,2 TB unterstützt werden. Mit der HP StoreVirtual VSA wird das D2220sb zu einem iSCSI-SAN, das von allen Servern im Gehäuse und von jedem Server im Netzwerk genutzt werden kann. VSA umfasst Remote-Replikationsfunktionen, Thin Provisioning und Snapshots.

\n Das HP D2220sb Storage Blade unterstützt zwölf universelle Hot-Plug-SAS-Festplattenlaufwerke mit kleinem Formfaktor (oder SAS/SATA-SSD- oder SATA-Midline-Festplattenlaufwerke), die die Anzahl an Festplattenlaufwerken im benachbarten Blade-Server erhöhen.

\nInterner gemeinsamer Speicher
\n Erstellen Sie mit dem D2220sb Storage Blade und HP StoreVirtual VSA einen skalierbaren gemeinsam genutzten internen Speicher. Der Speicher kann innerhalb eines c-Class BladeSystem Gehäuses oder per iSCSI über mehrere Gehäuse hinweg skaliert werden.
