Ethernet-Switches EX4300 sind kompakte Plattformen mit unveränderlicher Konfiguration, die die Anforderungen einer Vielzahl von hochleistungsfähigen Zweigniederlassungs- sowie Campus- und Rechenzentren-Zugangsbereitstellungen erfüllen.
Die Virtual Chassis-Technologie von Juniper ermöglicht die Verbindung von bis zu 10 EX4300-Switches über eine 320 Gbps-Backplane mit vier 40 GbE-Ports auf der Rückseite. Dadurch entsteht ein einzelnes, logisches Gerät, das eine hochskalierbare und kosteneffektive Lösung für wachsende Campusumgebungen bietet. Es werden auch fünfteilige, komplette Virtual Chassis-Konfigurationen mit einer Spannweite von bis zu 150 Metern unterstützt. Diese bieten eine Lösung mit niedriger Latenz, wodurch sichergestellt werden kann, dass für Switch-Mitglieder die Distanz zu jedem anderen Switch sehr gering ist.
Die EX4300-Switches unterstützen 10/100/1000BASE-T-Modelle mit 24 oder 48 Ports. EX4300-Modelle mit Power over Ethernet (PoE) bieten standardbasierten 802.3at PoE+ und somit 30 Watt auf allen Ports für die Unterstützung von IP-Telefonie mit hoher Dichte und drahtlosen 802.11n-Zugriffspunktbereitstellungen. Es ist außerdem ein GbE/10GbE Fiber Uplink-Modul mit vier Ports und doppeltem Zweck verfügbar.
