Die Implementierung von Netzwerken in kleineren, öffentlichen Betrieben, wie Cafés, Bistros oder Bars, kann ziemlich problematisch sein. Die Bereitstellung von Internetzugang ist immer ein mühevolles aber notwendiges Übel, denn schließlich sollen ja die Erwartungen der Kunden erfüllt werden. Die Betreiber derartiger Lokale und Standorte müssen allerdings komplexe Aufgaben bei der Einrichtung des Internet-Frameworks bewältigen, um den Zugang zu verwalten und dem Bandbreitenmissbrauch Einhalt zu gebieten.

Das UAG50 Unified Access Gateway von ZyXEL ist ein brandneuer All-in-One Access Hotspot der ein Wireless Access Gateway mit einem Thermodrucker kombiniert. Das Gerät soll die Anforderungen von Kleinbetrieben erfüllen, die nur über begrenzte Ressourcen verfügen, wobei die besten Dienste und Qualität mit weniger Einrichtungs- und Verwaltungsaufwand zur Verfügung gestellt werden sollen.

Neuer All-in-One Hotspot mit den niedrigsten Gesamtinvestitionskosten (TCO)

Das UAG50 von ZyXEL ist ein ganz neues All-in-One Wireless Hotspot/Access Gateway, in dem ein AP, Router, AAA-Gateway und Thermodruckerfunktionen vereint sind. Auf simplen Tastendruck erstellt es Benutzerkonten und Kennwörter. Komplizierte Vorgänge am Empfangstresen gehören also der Vergangenheit an. Mit dem UAG50 von ZyXEL sind für die Eigentümer und Betreiber von Lokalen und anderen Kleinbetrieben die Implementierung von mehreren Geräten, Integrations- und Wartungsroutinen keine Sorgenkinder mehr.

Umsatz generieren

Das Unified Access Gateway von ZyXEL enthält ausgefeilte Funktionen für die Abrechnung, Benutzerauthentifizierung und Zugriffskontrolle, mit denen Kleinbetriebe Gästekonten verwalten und nicht autorisierten Zugriff unterbinden können. Nicht zu unterschätzen ist auch die Möglichkeit, mit den vom Unternehmen angebotenen Internet-Services Umsatz zu generieren. Je nach dem bevorzugten Geschäftsmodell erhalten die Betriebe damit die Flexibilität, WLAN-Zugang als kostenlosen Service, als gestaffelten Service (schnellerer oder unbegrenzter Zugang zum WLAN gegen Bezahlung) oder als kostenpflichtigen Service anzubieten.
