Auch dieser Router sorgt dafür, dass in Ihrem Unternehmen eine Internetverbindung von mehreren Computern gemeinsam genutzt werden kann. Durch die einzigartigen doppelten Internet-Ports des VPN-Routers mit 10/100-Switch mit 4 Ports können Sie sicherheitshalber eine zweite Internetverbindung einrichten, wodurch eine Verbindungsunterbrechung verhindert wird. Sie können auch beide Internet-Ports gleichzeitig verwenden und über den Router die Anforderungen Ihres Büros gleichmäßig verteilen. Dadurch wird maximale Bandbreiteneffizienz gewährleistet.
Der VPN-Router mit 10/100-Switch mit 4 Ports ist darüber hinaus mit einem integrierten vollduplexfähigen 10/100-Ethernet-Switch mit 4 Ports ausgestattet. Dadurch können Sie vier Computer direkt daran anschließen und auch ggf. ein größeres Netz einrichten, indem Sie mehrere Hubs und Switches anschließen.

Die VPN-Funktionalität (Virtual Private Network) erstellt verschlüsselte "Tunnel" durch das Internet, so dass bis zu 30 Benutzer an einem Remote-Standort oder auf Reisen von außerhalb eine sichere Verbindung zu Ihrem Unternehmensnetzwerk herstellen können. Benutzer, die über einen VPN-Tunnel eine Verbindung herstellen, sind mit Ihrem Unternehmensnetzwerk verbunden und verfügen über sicheren Zugriff auf Dateien, E-Mail und Intranet, als ob sie sich im gleichen Gebäude befänden. Mithilfe der VPN-Funktionalität können sich darüber hinaus die Benutzer Ihres Büronetzwerks sicher mit einem externen Unternehmensnetzwerk verbinden.

Der VPN-Router mit 10/100-Switch mit 4 Ports kann als DHCP-Server eingesetzt werden und verfügt über eine leistungsstarke SPI-Firewall zum Schutz Ihres PCs vor Zugriffen aus dem Internet. Er kann so konfiguriert werden, dass interne Benutzerzugriffe auf das Internet gefiltert werden, und verfügt über eine IP-Adressenfilterfunktion, damit Sie genau festlegen können, wer auf Ihr Netzwerk zugreifen kann. Mit dem browserbasierten Konfigurationsdienstprogramm ist die Konfiguration ein Kinderspiel.
