The Zebra DS2200-HC series is specially designed for everyday requirements in clinical and care environments. It reliably supports medical staff in typical workflows, such as patient admission or scanning medication. With a 1.5-metre drop resistance and IP52 protection, the scanners are robust enough for hygiene-critical operations and frequent cleaning. At the same time, they read all important 1D and 2D barcodes, such as those used on patient wristbands or medication packaging. The combination of Zebra's PRZM imaging technology and powerful decoding methods ensures that the scanners can recognise even difficult barcodes.

For particularly sensitive areas where quiet is important, the devices feature a visual decode indicator. A small LED directly on the barcode signals a successful scan. The clear target marking also makes it easy to quickly find the optimal distance. The series includes both wired and wireless models. All versions automatically detect whether they are being held in the hand or used in presentation mode. The scanners are tailored to typical healthcare workflows and automatically select the correct host interface. With the 123Scan tool, settings can be quickly adjusted, firmware updated or multiple devices configured in batches.
