Cisco Catalyst Access Points
Cisco Catalyst Access Points
The Cisco Catalyst Access Points are designed for setting up WLAN in the enterprise sector. This series supports Wi-Fi 6 and 6E according to the IEEE 802.11ax standard, which means that the Catalyst access points also use the 6 GHz range in addition to the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency range. This means that more bandwidth is available in the close range. The Cisco Catalyst access points offer the encryption protocol and security standards AES, WPA and WPA3.
The combination of up to 4x4 Tri Radios on the Cisco Catalyst access points and Multi-User Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output (MU-MIMO) ensures a maximum bandwidth of 10.2 Gbit/s (1.2 Gbit/s per channel) and a high number of simultaneous connections. All Catalyst access points support PoE+ and Cisco UPOE. This means that the access point can be powered via the network connection. Integration into the network is achieved via an RJ45 port, which enables data transfer rates of up to 5000 Mbps.
