The Cisco Meraki MX250 series is designed for large branches, campus environments and data centres with up to 2,000 users. As a powerful security and SD-WAN appliance, it combines firewall, VPN concentrator and modern network services in a single, centrally managed device. With firewall throughput of up to 7.5 Gbps and VPN performance of 4 Gbps, it is ideally suited for environments with high bandwidth requirements.

Flexible Connectivity and Comprehensive Security Features

To ensure maximum connectivity, the MX250 offers a wide range of interfaces: 2x 10G SFP+ for WAN uplinks as well as a total of 24 LAN ports, including 8x 10G SFP+, 8x 1G SFP and 8x 1G RJ45. This allows the appliance to be integrated seamlessly into existing infrastructures. The MX250 also delivers advanced features such as Intrusion Detection & Prevention (IDS/IPS), Cisco Advanced Malware Protection (AMP), content filtering, SSL inspection and SD-WAN optimisation. All functions are managed centrally via the intuitive Meraki Dashboard, including zero-touch provisioning, automatic firmware updates and transparent analysis tools.
