Bei dem WS-C3850-16XS-S handelt es sich um einen Switch, der zur Serie 3850 gehört. Besonders an dieser Serie ist die vollständige Konvergenz zwischen drahtlosen und kabelgebundenen Netzwerken. Insgesamt besitzt der WS-C3850-16XS-S 16 Ports. Außerdem hat der Switch den Vorteil, dass ein internes Netzteil vorhanden ist. Im Weiteren haben Sie die Möglichkeit eine redundante Stromversorgung zu nutzen. Dabei wird ein einzelnes Netzwerkgerät mit zwei oder mehr physischen Netzteilen betrieben.

		Die Cisco Catalyst Serie 3850 bietet eine umfassende Plattform, die für vollständige Konvergenz zwischen kabelgebundenen und drahtlosen Netzwerken sorgt. Herzstück der Switches bildet die Unified Access Data Plane (UADP) ASIC (Application-specific Integrated Circuit) von Cisco.
