Cisco Catalyst 2960-CX

The Cisco Catalyst 2960-CX is a C-series switch that comprises particularly compact devices for network technology. The design is based on fanless technology and the Cisco Catalyst 2960CX is intended for expanding the network away from the central network cabinet. For example, the Cisco Catalyst 2960-CX has eight Gigabit Ethernet ports and two Gigabit uplink SFP ports, making it compatible with fibre-optic cables.

This switch from Cisco supports both Power over Ethernet and the Plus variant (PoE/PoE+). In addition, the Cisco Catalyst 2960-CX is compatible with PoE pass-through. This means that the switch does not require a power supply unit, provided that a supply via the central switch in the network cabinet is possible. Connected network devices can also be supplied with power via the Cisco Catalyst 2960CX using an Ethernet cable. This is possible on all ports up to a total power of 124 watts.

The switch also supports Cisco Instant Access. This simplifies the management of larger networks, as all switches are controlled via a single configuration.
