Cisco Catalyst 2960-XR

The Cisco Catalyst 2960-XR are the top models of the 2960 series and are designed for use in the enterprise segment and are suitable for setting up larger networks. The Cisco Catalyst 2960XR have a 19-inch construction format and are used directly in network cabinets. These switches are available with 24 or 48 gigabit network ports as well as with four uplink ports in SFP format or two SFP+ uplink ports.

The special feature of the Cisco Catalyst 2960XR is the double redundant power supply units. This means that two power supply units can be installed per switch, so that even a failure of one of the components for the power supply does not lead to an interruption of the network services. The power supply modules can be replaced during operation.

The Cisco Catalyst 2960-XR supports PoE and PoE+ (Power over Ethernet). The power supply unit used is decisive for the capacity that is available for the power supply via the network. This is a maximum of 740 watts. This means that up to 30 watts PoE+ are available per port for IP cameras, wireless access points and other end devices in the network.

The Cisco Catalyst 2960-XR are the top models of the 2960 series and are designed for use in the enterprise segment and are suitable for setting up larger networks.
