Cisco Catalyst 9500

The Cisco Catalyst 9500 series includes managed high-performance switches for building larger enterprise networks. These switches, which are designed for installation in 19-inch network cabinets, are available with 24 and 48 ports. The ports are available in the formats SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP28 and QSFP+ for optical data cables. Thus, depending on the model, the Cisco 9500s are designed for 1 to 100 Gigabit Ethernet connections.

The Cisco Catalyst 9500 series with the model designation X has a modular structure. The uplink modules can be exchanged and equipped with SFP/SFP+ or QSFP+ ports. Container applications can be hosted directly on the switches of the Cisco Catalyst 9500 series, because it is possible to integrate mass storage via USB or module. Furthermore, all switches of the Cisco Catalyst 9500 series can be equipped with redundant power supplies, which ensures fail-safety. The total of six fans are also designed for redundancy and can be easily replaced on site.
