Cisco Catalyst 9600

Cisco Catalyst 9600 is a series of modular switches for building central network nodes. The Cisco Catalyst 9606R chassis forms the basis. This offers six slots that can be individually equipped with switches of the Cisco 9600 series, which are called line cards. These modules are available with 24, 32, 40 and 48 ports. There is a large selection of port standards to choose from. These are available with RJ45 connections for copper cables as well as with SFP and various QSFP options for fibre optic cables. Accordingly, networks with speeds of 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps or 10, 25, 40, 50, 100, 200 and 400 Gbps can be set up with the Cisco Catalyst 9600 system. Up to 256 ports can be provisioned in a Cisco Catalyst 9606R chassis. In addition, the Cisco 9600 Series supports StackWise for virtual aggregation of networks, which underlines the flexibility of this system.
