Cisco Catalyst 3850

With the Cisco Catalyst 3850 series switches, it is possible to set up large networks in companies and organisations, with the focus on wireless connections. The switches are available as variants with 24 or 48 ports that support 10/100/1000 Mbps. In addition, the Cisco Catalyst 3850 is alternatively available with SFP+ ports for fibre optics and networks with transmission rates of up to 10 Gbps. Like the power supply unit, the uplink ports have a modular design. Modules with two to eight uplink ports in SFP, SFP+ or QSFP+ formats can be used here.

The Cisco 3850 series is especially designed for use in Wi-Fi networks. The switches have an integrated wireless controller that manages up to 100 access points. Furthermore, many switches of the Cisco Catalyst 3850 series support PoE+ or UPOE. This enables the power supply of network devices via Ethernet connections. The Cisco Catalyst 3850 provides up to 800 watts in total and 60 watts per port for the power supply of access points and other network devices.
