Cisco Wireless Controller 5508

With the Cisco Wireless Controller 5508, wireless networks can be centrally managed. These wireless controllers are designed for medium-sized and large networks. Up to 500 wireless access points can be managed with one Cisco WLC 5508. By combining two controllers, the number increases to a maximum of 1000 access points. This wireless controller is compatible with access points of the Cisco Aironet series, the Cisco Wireless Control System (WCS) and the Cisco Mobility Services Engine.

Eight Ethernet ports for speeds of 10/100/1000 Mbps are available for integration into the network. In addition, service, utility and console ports in RJ-45 format as well as USB are available.
